PADI Rescue Diver
Taking your skills beyond the recreational level
The PADI Rescue Diver Course takes you beyond the purely recreational level and teaches you awareness of the safety and well-being of other divers. It will increase your confidence in the water as you learn how to deal with challenging situations. You will learn important safety skills like self-rescue, recognizing signs of stress in other divers, how to manage a rescue operation and how to rescue a panicking or unresponsive diver. Many divers found this the most rewarding and fun course they have taken!
Prerequisites
- CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months
- PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver or higher with Navigation adventure dive completed
- minimum 12 years old

Bring your swimwear and a towel. Everything else is provided by us

What you will learn:
Rescue Skills
- Provide assistance to divers who are tired or in a state of panic
- Respond to distressed divers both from the shore and underwater
- Conduct an effective search for a missing diver
- Administer oxygen and perform in-water rescue breathing
- Assist victims in exiting the water safely
- Perform a complete rescue operation for an unresponsive diver at the surface, from start to finish
- Perform a complete rescue operation for an unresponsive diver underwater, from start to finish

- Causes of diving emergencies
- Recognizing signs of distress in divers
- Dealing with common equipment problems
- Missing diver procedures
- Providing first aid and treating injuries
- Performing in-water rescue techniques
- Conducting rescue operations outside of the water
