Marsascala Tug Boats
In this place, we dive on two tug wrecks. The first is a TANC type tug called St. Michael. It is 20 meters long. Year of construction 1944, in Canada. The second one is a Melita type tugboat 10 with a length of 16m. Earlier, they operated in the Grand Harbor, and on May 16 1998, they were sunk on a sandy bottom at a depth of 19 and 21 meters, approx. 60 meters apart. Thus, they have created a habitat for many species of marine fauna. Here, we’ll meet morays eels, scorpion fish, flying fish, stingrays, crabs, octopi, and many others. Interesting dive within the OWD.
