Wied iz-Zurrieq Reef is a captivating dive site located in the picturesque village of Zurrieq in Malta. Known for its stunning underwater rock formations and abundant marine life, this reef offers divers a unique and unforgettable underwater experience. With its crystal-clear waters and diverse marine ecosystem, Wied iz-Zurrieq Reef is a must-visit destination for diving enthusiasts seeking adventure and natural beauty.

We begin our dive in the expansive bay of Wied iz-Zurrieq, where the bottom is scattered with numerous boulders. As we venture westward, we swim alongside a steep reef adorned with beautiful red corals and a diverse array of fish species. At a depth of 23 meters, we have the opportunity to enter a small yet tall cave. The sandy bottom transitions into rocky walls, where we may spot conger eels or shrimp. If we choose to swim eastward, away from the bay, we’ll be treated to fascinating rock formations, home to a variety of deep-sea inhabitants. As we conclude our dive, a visit to a small cavern within the bay is highly recommended—an exceptionally photogenic spot teeming with life.
